Analysis - Discrete Food Chain Model

In the Laboratory of Mathematical Modeling we investigate a 3D map which models food chains. The model was already studied by T. Lindström (University of Kalmar, Sweden), and our research focuses on a more detailed numerical investigation. We applied methods developed in our laboratory, the AnT software package and other numerical techniques for the investigation. Due to the complexity of the model, a richness of dynamical structures and bifurcations can be found. We especially focused on the appearance of multiple attractors and their properties. Also of interest is the route to chaos. A joint research paper with T. Lindström and G. S. Osipenko about our results is in preparation.
